Assistant Chaplain’s Message

If you read last week’s message from Michael in the weekly email you will have noticed how busy we are as a church community. The Book Fair is in full swing this Saturday (Nov 5th) and we are relaunching Junior Church at our 11am services, starting this Sunday (see further below). Less visible perhaps, is that a team of volunteers has gathered ingredients, prepared and served a meal for over a 100 folk, as part of the Straatpastoraat ministry this Friday evening (Nov 4th). Amidst this busyness Michael got a nasty cold, so we adjusted “who does what” for this Sunday (6th). This speaks of a community that is busy, but is also able to adjust and look out for one another and care for the needs of others.

Maybe this is a little prompt for all of us to stop and think for a moment of someone who may be in need. Someone who may need our prayers or a practical piece of help or a word of encouragement.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you (2 Thes 3:16).
